I, Sara Schemmel, have more than fifteen years of tax and accounting experience. My background includes service in public accounting specializing in tax compliance for pass-through entities and high-wealth individuals, industry experience managing an accounting department as CFO for a real estate development company and controller for a non-destructive testing company, as well as providing general bookkeeping and accounting services to a wide variety of businesses including ecommerce companies utilizing the major marketplaces and service professionals such as dentists and attorneys. My on-the-job experience has afforded me a well-rounded skill set providing me with a thorough understanding of how business works to include business start-up, everyday transactions, reporting, managerial decisions, year-end closing, and tax preparation. This understanding has allowed me to develop first-rate analytical and problem-solving skills.

In addition to my experience, I am a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of Missouri and North Carolina. I have earned a Bachelor of Science in Education (BSE) with a Minor in Business from the University of Kansas and a Masters of Science in Accountancy (MSA) with an emphasis on taxation from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
